The names are finnished. We have decided to name the litter
after the gladiators and some greek myth: No. 1 - Indra, gladiator No. 2 - Midas, a name that came to me under our way to Vännäs. Later on did we find out that it comes from a king in greek myth. No. 3 - Hero, gladiator. A suitable name for the heroic little fellow. No. 4 - Troja, gladiator. No. 5 - Selene, moon goddess, but also a tribute to grandma' Silene. No. 6 - Amber, gladiator. No. 7 - Izor, gladiator. No. 8 - Nike, victory goddess. A suitable name for the girl who survived against all odds. New photos can be seen on the old litter-page |

A short story about our puppies birth: Puppy No. 1 & No. 2 was born at home. No. 3 wasn't able to get out, not even with help from our veterinarian. With the puppy talking inside his mother did we start our 100 km trip to Vännäs for a c-section. But No. 3 did not have the time to wait, so about half way to Vännäs was No. 3 born. And son after him did No. 4 come out. Soon after our arrival at the vet.station in Vännäs was also No. 5 born. A quick x-ray showed us 3 more puppies! Later on was No. 6 born, but nothing more. This time did we go for the c-section, and that was a lucky choice. The vet. did start with the moving puppy (who was going to be born last) and after that the lifeless puppy (that was on her way out), but hey, she was also alive =) THANK YOU so much vet. Mia in Lycksele, vet. Karin and assistent Linda for all the help! Both mother and puppies are today a happy and healthy gang. |
